Portable Foam Porosity Meters
Technical Information
The principle of our Porosity testers is to blow air through the foam at a controlled pressure and measure the air flow volume through the foam. Air flow is displayed on a digital meter on a range of 0 - 100 (zero flow to unrestricted flow).
The porosity meter contains:
Battery power supply (AirFlo+ 4 x AA cells / MicroFlo 4 x AAA cells / CellFlo 2 x AA cells)
Electronic circuits - latest SMD technology
Precision air blower
LCD digital display
The electronic circuits have been designed to give maximum stability. The power supply is stabilised to eliminate effects of reduced battery power. When the batteries run down to an unacceptable voltage, a warning light is displayed.
Simple djustments are provided for zero and maximum readings. This enables the user to calibrate the instrument at locations of different altitude. Air density and viscosity decrease at higher altitude, so the effect of the foam on air flow changes. These calibration adjustments allow the Porosity Meter to be used at any location.
